AFC Leopards defender Jackson Saleh has rescinded his decision to ditch the club for their Kenyan Premier League rivals Gor Mahia. At the same time, the club has also reversed their decision to drop defender Eric Masika and goalkeeper Patric Matasi.

The pair was among the seven players who had been shown the door by Coach Pieter De Jongh ahead of the 2015 season. According to Organising Secretary Timothy Lilumbi, Saleh has agreed to a new one and half year deal with the club. “I am delighted to announce that Saleh has committed his future to the club. We’ve renegotiated his contract and he’s agreed to sign a new one and half year deal,” said Lilumbi. “Gor were right to engage him because by then he’s a free agent but right now he’s our player and he’s going nowhere.” Saleh said he’s pleased to extend his stay in the Den. “I am happy we’ve talked and agreed to a new deal that keeps me here for the future. I am focused for the new season,” said Saleh.
