This sweet, icy and tangy cocktail is the ultimate frozen summer cocktail. It is a perfect happy hour drink as it is a party drink. The Strawberry Daiquiri is best served thick and chilled straight from the blender.

The strawberry makes the cocktail thick and slushy. It is the perfect drink for parties, brunches, family gatherings and backyard barbecues. The delicious Strawberry Daiquiri is best served with foods such as creamy cheeses, desserts such as peanut butter bars and brownies, seafood dishes, pizza and appetisers such as Buffalo Chicken Dip.

If you prefer to drink more with your Strawberry Daiquiri, tropical juices such as mango or pineapple juice, a tall glass of refreshing sparkling water and lemonade will complement it. The tropical juices add a tropical flavour, the sparkling water cleanses the mouth and the tang of the lemonade complements the sweetness of the daiquiri. When summer arrives, the Strawberry Daiquiri has you covered.

Ingredients:

Frozen Strawberries(500g).

Lemons or Fresh Lemon Juice and lime(1/2l).

Sugar or Simple syrup (2 tablespoons.)

White Rum(60-100ml).

Lots of Ice cubes.

Mint and Sliced Strawberries for garnishing.

A blender.

Methodology:

Start by pouring (60ml) of the white rum into the blender jug.

Gently add (15mls) of the sugar syrup into the jug. You can add as much sugar or sugar syrup you want depending on how sweet you would want it.

Squeeze some lemons to make the fresh lemon juice. The homemade lemon juice is recommended over the store-bought mixes. This helps with the consistency of the cocktail. Add the fresh lemon juice into the blender jug.

Throw in a cup of strawberries (500g) into the jug and top it up with some ice cubes.

Finally, let the blend work its magic. Blend the mixture to an amazing, thick perfection.

Since the Strawberry Daiquiri is thick, grab a bar spoon and gently pour into a margarita glass.

Now garnish it with some strawberry, lime and mint. Start by slipping a strawberry on the rim of the glass then add a lime wheel next to it. Lastly add some mint in order to add a nice smell to the cocktail.

Enjoy!!!
