Chicken wings will always get you drooling whenever you see them, be it in real life or pictures. You can see the shine, sparkle, and juice and smell the mouth-watering aroma of a well prepared wing.

All this happiness and yet you have not taken a bite. The juice you see, starts trickling inside your mouth and the flavours blend in with every bite, giving an unforgettable sensation.

Wings can be dipped or cooked in different flavours. The moment you know your favourite, you can never go back.

Most people buy their wings from restaurants, but have you ever thought how heavenly it would be to prepare and enjoy them from the comfort of your own home?

Well, dreams do come true, let's learn how to make honey-coated wings.

Ingredients:

For the wings;

1 kg chicken wings

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional

For the Honey Glaze;

cup honey

cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)

Sesame seeds

Chopped green onions

Instructions:

Preheat your oven.

Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings cook evenly and get crispy.

In a large bowl, evenly coat the wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

Place the seasoned wings on the wire rack, ensuring they are spread out in a single layer.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Making the honey glaze;

While the wings are baking, prepare the honey glaze.

In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, vinegar, butter, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.

Heat the saucepan over medium heat while stirring occasionally until the mixture comes to a simmer.

Once the mixture starts simmering, add the cornstarch slurry.

Continue to cook, stirring frequently for about 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and set aside.

Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey glaze over the wings and toss to coat them evenly.

Transfer the glazed wings to a plate and enjoy.
