On a night of pomp of colour, the much-hyped reality show dubbed NaiRich had a grand launch as it made its debut on Kenyan screens.

The reality series, consisting of 13 episodes, will see socialites and influencers Amber Ray, Risper Faith, Phoina and musician KRG the Don open their homes and lives to the public.

While the buzz is expected to be created by the girls who are known to court controversy, it is KRG who is making headlines in the show whose theme is captured in its tagline: "More money, more drama,"

"We chose him because he has a great relationship with Amber Ray. They go way back and you cannot get another guy who can converse with Amber, Phoina and Risper than KRG," says the show producer Sammy Dee.

KRG who was a no-show during the launch is said to have had some family commitment that held him from attending the Friday gala.

"Kenyans need to respect quality but they will enjoy the reality show. We are not going to hire cars or rent houses. We are going to keep it real. The show aims to showcase the unique culture and diverse characters that render Nairobi an intriguing city. The cast members rose to prominence via social media, with some turning adversity into success as they became stars through unconventional paths." He told TNX during the launch.

Nai-Rich follows five influential Kenyans, giving a glimpse into the glitz and glam of their daily lives in the entertainment industry.
