Joker: Folie a Deux

The Joker and Harley Quinn memes and video clips have always been a sensation on the internet. While much of the spotlight has recently been on Marvel Studio's Deadpool and Wolverine, Warner Bros. has reignited excitement with a sneak peek of the highly anticipated film, Joker: Folie A Deux (Joker 2).

The film has quickly become the talk of the internet, creating a wave of excitement among fans worldwide. Joker: Folie A Deux is expected to be a major hit, with the immensely talented Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as the iconic Joker (Arthur Fleck) and the beautiful, multi-talented musical legend Lady Gaga taking on the role of Harley Quinn. The title, Folie A Deux, is a French phrase meaning "madness of two."

In psychiatry, Folie A Deux is a rare disorder where two or more individuals share the same delusional beliefs. However, unlike the dark and gory nature of previous Joker films, Joker: Folie A Deux will be a musical.

A trending poster on Lady Gaga's Instagram page portrays the twisted love story between the Joker and Harley Quinn. The two villainous characters stare deeply into each other's eyes, suggesting that they are very much in love in their dark, unique, and complicated way. This complex relationship, which first captured audiences in 2019, is back at the forefront once again.

Given their history of violence and madness, the blockbuster promises a wild love story, with a significant dose of the Joker's narrative adding spice to the film. In the trailer, the Joker (Arthur Fleck) is confined at Arkham, awaiting trial for his heinous crimes. He struggles to maintain both his Joker and Arthur Fleck personas, but ultimately discovers his passion for music-and meets the love of his life.

Oscar Award winner Joaquin Phoenix's portrayal of the Joker (Arthur Fleck) will be supported by a talented cast. In addition to the exquisite Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, the cast includes Oscar nominees Catherine Keener (Get Out, Capote), Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), and Zazie Beetz. Joker 2, or Joker: Folie A Deux, will premiere in theatres and IMAX on October 14th.
