Edday Nderitu recently took to social media to celebrate her estranged husband, Mugithii artiste Samuel Muchoki, also known as Samidoh, on Father's Day.

She shared photos of Samidoh with their children, enjoying cake together, and expressed her gratitude for his role in their lives.

"Thank you for being a loving father to our family. Your unwavering support, guidance, and unconditional love mean everything to us," Edday wrote.

She praised Samidoh for working tirelessly to provide a comfortable life for their family and acknowledged the sacrifices he makes.

"We're grateful for the sacrifices you make and the time we get to spend together as a family. Today and every day, we celebrate your kindness, patience, and devotion. We love you more than words can express!" Nderitu added.

The couple recently reunited to celebrate their daughter Shirleen Muchoki's high school graduation in the United States.

Samidoh reflected on this milestone with pride, sharing his thoughts on social media.

"My daughter, child of my youth, you were born shortly after I exited my teenage years. It was a very confusing time for me. Today, I am very proud of you," he wrote.

Edday also celebrated their daughter's achievement, stating how proud they are of her hard work and dedication.

"Huge congratulations to our amazing daughter on your graduation! We're beyond proud of your hard work, dedication, and perseverance," she wrote.

After the graduation ceremony, the family celebrated with a small gathering that included their children and a few family members.

In a video that has since gone viral, Samidoh and Edday shared a light-hearted moment, joking about their youthful appearance and the fact that they have a child graduating from high school.

Samidoh humorously suggested that their daughter should repeat the grade, and Edday, seated close to him, echoed his sentiment. "You have heard what my husband has said," she remarked, prompting laughter from both.

Edday and Samidoh cosy up amid daughter's graduation.

In May, Edday marked one year since relocating to the United States with her three children.

Reflecting on her journey, she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, highlighting the courage it took to leave her previous life and start anew.

"It's exactly one year ago today when I took a step of faith and started a new chapter in my life. That takes a lot of courage and determination," wrote Edday.

She opened up about the personal growth she has experienced, discovering new strengths and gaining valuable self-awareness.

"I'll keep moving forward, even if the path ahead is still unclear. I've got this," she added.

Edday's departure from Kenya in May 2023 was followed by public statements in July, where she explained the reasons behind her decision.

She described the prior environment as "toxic," particularly for her teenage daughter, who was directly affected by unspecified negative behavior.

Edday clarified her marital status, denying any involvement in a polygamous relationship, and stated that she "left the husband for whoever needed him more."

"I made a decision to remove myself and my kids from that toxic environment, especially my teen daughter who unfortunately is a direct recipient of unbelievable behavior. I have managed to sustain my kids' needs so far with no help and I am not regretting any bit of it," she shared on her Facebook page.
