Hours after collapsing on Citizen TV's 10 over 10 show, Kenyan musician Stevo Simple Boy said he is stressed and asked his former manager to resume his duties.

Stevo had delivered an energetic performance on the Friday show before collapsing as he was being interviewed by Azeezah.

Through a phone call, he later assured his fans that he was okay and said he would issue an update on his Instagram page.

"Meneja rudi tupige kazi nimeishiwa nguvu. Watu wasitukosanishe. Stress inanipiga mpaka naanguka kwa stage nikiperform. Mnataka kuniharibia mpaka manager," wrote Stevo on Instagram.

Many netizens had expressed concern after the incident, which occurred on live TV, but the singer was promptly attended to.

10 over 10 host Azeezah said she had talked to Stevo and he was doing well.

Online, his followers also showed him love, praying for his full recovery.
