Maya Angelou's The Caged Bird Sings makes its debut in Kenya this week at the Phoenix players theatre.

Tone Theatre productions has joined forces with the UN Embassy Nairobi to make this play a reality.

The play is based on the late Maya Angelou's renowned autobiography I know why the caged bird sings.

'The Caged Bird Sings' is a collection of selected poetry by Maya Angelou, rendered in music, dance and elocution by Tone Theatre Productions.

Produced and directed by George Orido, the play will be showing at the Phoenix Players Theatre from the 26th February till 1st March.
