Kenya beat Nepal to tie T20 series 2-2

Kenya won the fourth of the five T20 International matches against visiting Nepal by seven runs to tie the series 2-2 at the Nairobi Gymkhana Grounds, Monday evening.

The hosts won the toss and chose and to bat first, putting 101 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 20 overs.

New call up Lucas Odhiambo was good for 33 runs off 18 balls.

The 2003 ICC World Cup talisman, Collins Obuya had 20 runs off 30 balls for the hosts with team captain Shem Ngoche adding 13 runs off ten.

Nepal, who were undone by extras, put up 94 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.

Assistant captain Rohit Paudel had a game high 47 runs off 55 balls for the visitors.

"We fought very well today. I'm pleased with what my players did," Kenya's head coach David Obuya told Standard Sports.

Ngoche said the victory was so personal to them adding that he could not even explain the feeling.

"The wickets today favoured our bowlers, and they did well. Expect fireworks in the finals on Tuesday. We now have the belief and confidence that we can actually carry this series," Ngoche said.
