KRU Championship: Daystar and Western Bulls eye semis

The 2023-2024 KRU Championship playoffs are scheduled for Saturday where four teams will be vying for a place in the semi-finals to play Masinde Muliro University and South Coast Pirates.
Daystar Falcons, who finished third, will take on fellow students Jomo Kenyatta University at Daystar University Grounds where the winner will play against South Coast Pirates in the semis.
In the other match, former Kenya Cup side Impala RFC will face fellow former Kenya Cup side Western Bulls.
The clash which will take place at 3pm at Impala Club will see the winner play against league leaders MMUST Rugby Club in Kakamega.
MMUST, a former Kenya Cup side, secured a home final after finishing at the top of the log with 44 points.

Similarly, South Coast Pirates also earned a home semi-final spot following a victory over USIU Martial grabbing the second place.
Speaking after the regular season, MMUST coach John Asila said they will be ready for the semis as they have their eyes fixed on returning back to the Kenya Cup.
"Our goal from the start has been to get back to the Kenya Cup and we know winning the home semifinal irrespective of whoever we will meet will be key to us alieving our dream," said Asila.
