8 killed in a road accident in Ngata area, Nakuru

Eight passengers have been killed in a grisly road accident involving a PSV matatu and a trailer truck in Ngata area, along the Nakuru - Eldoret Highway early Monday 6, November.

Confirming the incident, Nakuru County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi said the accident occurred around 3 a.m. and that the matatu which was headed to Nairobi had a head-on-collision with the trailer.

"Among those killed are kids and the matatu driver, the survivors were rushed to Nakuru Leve Five Hospital where they are recuperating," he said.

The driver of the trailer is still at large after escaping from the scene minutes after the accident.
