Police lobbed teargas on Friday, July 21, 2023, to disperse unruly youths who blocked a section of the Nairobi Southern Bypass near Kibera slums as they engaged in anti-government protests.
Hell broke loose after the protesters began stealing from unsuspecting motorists as they hurled stones at anti-riot officers.
The clash caused traffic congestion on the busy road as motorists avoided the area.
The police eventually managed to disperse the youths, and the situation was brought under control. No injuries were reported.
