St Anthony's Boys Kitale, popularly known as Solidarity Boys, have started an aggressive campaign to reclaim regional titles.

Last year, Kabarnet Boys stopped the Saints from proceeding to the nationals in the Rift Valley regional finals.

Head coach Peter Mayoyo said the hunt for the national and East Africa title is unstopped and expressed confidence of a successful journey to reclaim the titles.

St Anthony's are 2018 East Africa secondary school football champions.

Banking on the sharpness the team has shown in the recent matches, Mayoyo said their journey to the East Africa Games to be held in Rwanda, is promising.

According to Mayoyo, his strikers have scored 34 goals in five rounds of matches at the zonal level.

The coach expressed optimism for more glory, when the Kiminini Sub-county games begin today.

"We are performers. Our boys are promising and our journey to Rwanda is unstoppable," Mayoyo told Standard Sports.

He said he is hoping to see more improvement and performance from the boys in the coming matches.

"Our recent performances and victories in building matches against big teams in Western and Nyanza gives us hope of the potential to reclaim regional titles," he said.

He said his strikers have demonstrated the ability to overrun their rivals in tough matches.

"Our aim heading forward is to conquer the East African region like we did in 2019 in Arusha, Tanzania. We are taking one game at a time," he said.

At the zonal level, the Saints exhibited their formidable prowess as they dismissed their neighbours Weaver Bird 13-0.
