World 100m silver medallist Marvin Bracy last night beat Commonwealth champion Ferdinand Omanyala by 0.01 seconds to claim victory in the second 100 metres race at the Spitzen Leichtathletik, a World Athletics Continental Tour Silver level meeting held at the Stadion Allmend in Luzern, Switzerland.

Competing for the first time since his commonwealth win, Omanyala crossed the finish line in 10.18 seconds, just 0.01 seconds behind the American.

"It was very cold, very tough and it wasn't easy to run fast times. But a second spot finish is good and I enjoyed myself," Omanyala said.

Third on the podium was Jamaican Ackeem Blake, who clocked 10.22 seconds.
