Arsenal are set to allow German international Shkodran Mustafi to leave after they complete deals for Chelsea’s David Luiz and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney.

According to the English news outlet The Sun, Luiz is expected to put pen to paper today after he was reported to have missed Chelsea training on Wednesday in a bid to force through a move across London.

Arsenal tactician Unai Emery has been under pressure to mend his leaky defence after his skipper Laurent Koscielny bailed out on the club, moving to French side Bordeaux.

Despite being short of class in central defence, the Spaniard is prepared to listen to suitable offers for the leaky star.

Mustafi, 27, won the World Cup in 2014 with Germany before he moved to Arsenal but has been poor since his arrival in 2016.

Leading media outlets like Sky Sports are now reporting on the possible departure of the German international.

They claim that he could depart the club either permanently or temporarily with the likely destination being France.

On hearing the news, Arsenal fans took to social media to express their delight as seen by GameYetu.

"Mustafi leaving would be a dream," wrote one fan.

"Don't get my hopes up on Mustafi leaving... I can't stand the disappointment if it doesn't happen," added another.
