Wantaway Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is currently in Anderlecht, Belgium training with his boyhood club.

The Belgian has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford with Serie A champions Juventus and rivals Inter Milan interested in his services.

Lukaku decided to move after he was frozen out by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amid transfer talk.

According to the Sun, his move to Italy has failed to materialise and he has decided to seek refuge at the club where it all started.

Renowned journalist Kristof Terreur posted the Belgian’s picture in Anderlecht training attire and admitted his disbelief in the latest twist.

“A man training with Anderlecht while he’s waiting for a move. One of those unexpected twists and turns,” he wrote.

Lukaku has now missed six pre-season matches in a row as the saga drags on.

Former Chelsea and new Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte who is said to be a fan of the big hitman and made attempts to sign him while still at Chelsea in 2016, has renewed his interest with inter this summer.

He followed up his interest with a £54 million bid which was knocked back by the old Trafford chiefs who wanted a £75 million.

With inter struggling to strike a deal, rivals Juventus entered the waters with a completely different proposal which many fans thought was too sweet for the Red Devils to refuse.

They were offering star striker Paulo Dybala for Lukaku and all seemed to be going well until the deal hit a snag with the argentine demanding sky-high £350,000 a week wages to join United.

As Lukaku trains with his boyhood club, greatest admirer Conte isn’t giving up and reports say inter have returned with a £73 million offer.
