American golfing superstar Tiger Woods sealed an epic comeback from scandals and injuries to win the 83rd Masters on Sunday, April 14 claiming his 15th major title.   The 43-year-old toppled his peers snatching his first major title since the 2008 US open ending an 11-year major drought.

Woods made a return to the Masters after a spinal fusion surgery he underwent in 2017 that he feared could have a major negative impact in his life and career to win his fifth Masters title.

The superstar finished on 13-under 275 for a one-shot victory after firing a final round two-under-par 70 to earn the $2.07 million top prize and a Green Jacket.

Woods was hailed by the spectators at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, in a thunderstorm threatened atmosphere the facility where he won his first major title back in 1997.

It will be one of the greatest Sundays to be remembered by the golfing superstar as he celebrated in the arms of his mother in front of a crowd chanting his name.
