Forget fish, Gor Mahia football club is now eating bread (tongue in cheek).

The club has partnered with Alicia Bakers and Confectioners Limited to unveil a new brand of bread, which becomes its sponsor.

“Gor Mahia, boasting a rich history, has strode the football scenes in Africa like a colossus. Despite the rich history and trophies, Gor Mahia has been unable to harness its full potential. Lack of stable sponsorship has ensured that Gor Mahia has been incapable of holding onto its best players and technical staff over the years. Alicia Bakers has come in to fill this gap and we are happy for that,” read a statement from the club.

“This sponsorship will ensure that Gor Mahia retain talented players and attract the best players, and in the process create jobs for the youth. For every branded bread we sell, the club will have make some cash,” said Aggrey Nyandong', the MD.
