Sam Allardyce has said that he will drop Marcus Rashford from England’s first squad if the forward continues to miss a place at Man United.
The England boss believes the teenage star will benefit more from playing in the Under-21s under manager Gareth Southgate.
The Manchester United forward made his way into England’s senior team after a phenomenal performance under former coach Louis Van Gaal.
His game-time at Old Trafford has been limited this season following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the PSG and Sweden veteran.
"It makes it harder for me to select him, as exciting as he was last year and how he burst onto the scene. If he plays regularly, it will help him eventually and hopefully he’ll break into the United team and then into the England senior team,” Allardyce indicated.
