QUINS guard LEAGUE LEAD: Kenya Harlequin end year with unbeaten record intact

Kenya Harlequin stormed to the top of the Kenya Cup with a resounding 57-12 victory over Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad at the RFUEA Grounds on Saturday evening.
The victory means Quins end the year as the only undefeated side in the league after former leaders Strathmore University surprisingly lost 19-11 at the Jamhuri grounds.
Pan Strathmore Leos had gone into the match enjoying a five-point advantage at top of the table, but after the unexpected loss to Mwamba, they tumbled to fourth, showing just how tight competition in the top half of the table is.
Mwamba will be glad they were able to bounce back from their home loss to Impala last weekend, but they will be worried at the inconsistent results that might just see them cause some entertaining upsets, but not enough to get them into the top four.
Elsewhere, Champions KCB made light work of Kabras Sugar, the 40-15 win over the sugar men seeing the Lions move up to second as resurgent Resolution Impala Saracens went third on the log with their first win away to Top Fry Nakuru in half a decade. They defeated their hosts 26-18 in a heated duel at the Nakuru Athletic Club.

Impala are looking more impressive as the campaign progresses and if they can keep this momentum, they surely will contest for a semi-final slot. Nakuru on the other hand are slowly losing their fortress in Nakuru.
