The much awaited Champions league semi-final draw has been done.

Defending champions Real Madrid are poised to meet Juventus in the first semi final after overcoming cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid 1-0 courtesy of a late goal from Javier Hernandes in the second leg of the quarter finals. Juventus on the other hand beat Monaco by a solitary goal aggregately to book a spot in the semis and their reward, though harsh sees them face the defending champions

The second semifinal sees Barcelona come up against German champions Bayern Munich to battle it out for a slot in the finals. Barcelona beat PSG by an aggregate score of 5-1 to book their place in the semis while Bayern overcome a first leg loss to FC Porto to record an aggregate score of 7-4.

The first legs of the semifinals will be played on 5/6 May, with the return legs on 12/13 May.
