Senior public servants have heeded to President William Ruto's order to visit counties to explain development projects planned by their departments.
On Saturday, more than 20 chairpersons of State corporations engaged grassroots leaders in Maragua constituency, where they outlined the national government agenda.
The team led by Kemsa Chairman Irungu Nyakera pitched camp at Komorori grounds outlining their agenda. His Kenya Dairy Board counterpart Genesio Mugo said the country was expected to increase milk production to 170 million litres from the current 85 million litres.
"The leading milk producers are Kiambu, Nyandarua and Murang'a. In Muranga, we are working to increase milk production from an average of six litres to 15 litres per cow," Mugo said.
Fred Muteti of the Special Economic Zones said the government will build the biggest facility in Murang'a in an effort to support the businesses. "There are plans to establish the largest facility in Kenya that will ensure there is growth and creation of employment," said Muteti.

Insurance Regulatory Authority Chairman Mwambu Mabonga asked Kenyans to trust the government agenda.
"It is time to stop entertaining the opposition leaders who have nothing to offer. In the past we have seen them misleading Kenyans," said Mabonga.
Nyakera said the team will be moving around the country in an effort to help the residents understand projects being initiated in their background.
He expressed confidence that the lack of drug supplies in health facilities will be a thing of the past.
"Since I joined Kemsa, we have streamed operations in the facilities," said Nyakera.
Jubilee Party factional leader Sabina Chege said the action by the heads of the State corporations was in good faith. "The idea to explain what was being done to the public is encouraging," said Chege.
At the start of the event, there was a commotion after a journalist was roughed up by supporters of Maragua MP Mary Wamaua.
Present at the event were chairperson of the Kenya Water Towers Agency Rashid Echesa, Odoyo Owidi from the Lake Basin Development Authority, National Irrigation Authority Board Chair Gilbert Maluki, Winnie Ngumi, and Wangui Ngirici among others.
