After a protracted battle to dislodge him from the leadership of the former ruling party, the Party of National Unity, Peter Munya is back at the helm.
Munya and former Laikipia Governor, Ndiritu Murithi, had been embroiled in a protracted battle over the party's leadership, with their allies involved in numerous fights.
But the former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary is having the last laugh after the PNU released a new list of its leaders on Friday, with Munya, who is also the former governor of Meru, now named the party leader.
In the new list, some of the PNU officials involved in a leadership struggle with Munya's allies were replaced.
Yuda Imnya, previously the deputy national treasurer, was promoted and named national Treasurer, replacing Alphonse Musyoki.
