Mabati Rolling Mills (MRM), a member of Safal Group on Wednesday, February 8, announced the launch of its product warranty aimed at reinforcing the superior quality of its products and assuring consumers of its commitment to quality.

This comes in the wake of a growing issue on substandard goods and counterfeit products in the Kenyan market and beyond. The product warranty, which will be rolled out across the country, is aimed at providing consumers with peace of mind when purchasing our products while reassuring them of the quality and authenticity of our products.

MRM has been providing high-quality building solution products for over 60 years. The company is known for its roofing brands such as Dumuzas and is committed to maintaining its reputation for excellence. However, the company has become increasingly concerned about the growing prevalence of substandard and counterfeit products and this is unfortunately affecting all sectors and societies in Kenya. These products also pose a serious risk to the health and safety of consumers.

The warranty initiative is a major step forward for MRM, it not only serves to reassure consumers of MRMs high quality brands but also serves as platform to educate them on the pitfalls of sub-standard and counterfeit products. The company is also working closely with the government, law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies to take on the challenge of Sub-standards and counterfeits head-on.

While speaking at the launch event, MRM CEO Mr. Manish Mehra, said, "At MRM, we take pride in providing high-quality steel products to our consumers. We get very concerned when we hear that consumers are duped when purchasing roofing products and building solutions material. We know the dangers that these low-quality products pose to the customers in the long term. As a company, we are committed to providing exceptional value to our consumers while offering them superior quality and durable products. This product warranty initiative is a testament to that."

The Principal Secretary State Department of Industry, Dr. Juma Mukhwana commended the effort by MRM in bringing this conversation to the fore. He also urged other key stakeholders and regulatory bodies present at the event to be vigilant in their efforts to deal with the sub-standards and counterfeits challenge.

MRM is encouraging all consumers to take advantage of the warranty and to verify the authenticity of products before purchasing. In the recent past, the company has set up dedicated customer service centers across major towns in the country to assist consumers with any questions or concerns they may have regarding their products.

MRM's product warranty covers manufacturing defects that can affect the performance of the products. Any retailer stocking MRM products will honor the warranty. In addition, customers can verify the authenticity of MRM products by checking the unique features appearing on the products such as - the inkjet print, the MRM embossing mark and the brand logo.
