Fatuma 'Iron Fist' Zarika has successfully retained her World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Super Featherweight title.

The two time World Boxing Council (WBC) World Super Bantam champion made mince meat of her Tanzanian namesake Fatuma Omari to win the ten round duel on Technical Knock Out in the fourth round at Broadwalk Mall in Parklands Nairobi on Friday night.

Omari's coach decided to throw in the towel when he saw the heat was too much for her student in the tight ring.

While showing Omari that she's the mother of boxing in Kenya, Zarika pounded the Tanzanian in all the rounds to register one of her easiest victory ever in her boxing history.

"Thanks to the fans who turned up in large numbers to fill this hall, your presence inspired me.

"I want to thank sponsors Betika, Ultra Fight Series Boxing promoter Maurice Odera, the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission for helping me to establish a conducive environment to prepare for this fight," Zarika underlined.

Omari said her dream had come true in the night as she had always longed to fight Zarika.

"Tonight I'm a happy woman since one of my bucket list which was to fight Zarika has come true, I have been her fan since childhood,"Omari stated.
