Ready to roar in spain: Kenya name squad for boxing event

National boxing team coach Musa Benjamin has named a ten-member team for the upcoming World Youth Boxing Championships in Alicante, Spain.

The team of seven male boxers and three female boxers will feature in the tournament set for November 14-27.

The male boxers are Diouf Muimi, Dennis Muiya, Wycliffe Chesire, Joshua Cliff, Joseph Karumba, Francis Ogeta and Douglas Muya. Jane Wangari, Faith Nafuna and Juliet Akinyi are in the women's team. Kenyan legend Nick Okoth, who recently announced his retirement, is part of Benjamin's technical bench. [Ben Ahenda]
