Kenya enters two teams for regional event

As Kenya prepares for the Africa Zone Three Boxing Championships and Africa Boxing Championships, two full teams have been dispatched to Tanzania for the East Africa Club Championships starting in Dar Es Salaam tomorrow up-to Saturday.

The two teams are league champions Kenya Police and National Select side, all comprising of 24 players and several coaches.

National head coach Musa Benjamin is in charge of the National Select side while his deputy David Munuhe is the head coach of Kenya Police.

Most players selected for the four day tournament are are national team players who have been capped several times and all what they need is any kind of exposure to prepare them for a number of international assignments coming over in the next few months.

National head coach Musa Benjamin said they are monitoring each player’s success in every tournament they go through before coming up with the final squads that feature in different international championships.
