Eldonets Platinum will welcome Umoja Basketball Club and Equity Bank Dumas to Eldoret this weekend as they return to action in the ongoing Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Men's Premier League.

Platinum, who are chasing their sixth win this season, will take on Umoja Basketball Club today and Equity Bank Dumas tomorrow. A double victory will enhance their chances of sealing a play-offs slot. However, they face an uphill task against Umoja who are in great form as well as the bankers who have gradually improved.

In other Men's Premier League matches, University of Nairobi (UoN) Terror will take on former titleholders Ulinzi Warriors while National Bank of Kenya (NBK) Phoenix will play defending champions Nairobi City Thunder. The two are some of the matches that were postponed last weekend following the demise of KBF chairman Paul Otula. There will be no Men's Premier League matches tomorrow.

In the Women's Premier League title hunt, Eldonets Ladies will entertain holders Equity Bank Hawks tomorrow. Eldonets will be hoping for a victory as they seek a top-eight spot and a place in the play-offs.

Hawks who are seeking to successfully defend their title and extend their reign to two years in a row will be hoping to bag maximum points and move up the table.

A win for Eldonets will see them maintain their place in the top eight while a loss will reduce their chances of qualifying for the last eight. At Nyayo Gymnasium, Zetech University Sparks will play their UoN Dynamites compatriots today and tackle Th3 Swish tomorrow.

Strathmore University Swords also have two matches lined up this weekend. Swords will be chasing victories against Th3 Swish and winless Storms today and tomorrow respectively. There will also be Men and Women's Division One matches at different venues at Nyayo and University of Nairobi.

Meanwhile, KBF and the larger basketball fraternity will hold a memorial service for Otula tomorrow from 2pm to 5pm at the Nyayo Gymnasium. Otula, a long-serving basketball boss, died after collapsing at his home.
