Reigning Kenya Basketball Federation Women's Premier League champions Equity Bank Hawks will return to action this weekend.

Hawks who have only played three matches since the 2024-2025 season began in October last year will today take on Zetech University Sparks at Nyayo Gymnasium.

Both sides will have everything to fight for as they seek to maintain their unbeaten runs. Hawks who are currently ninth on the standings with six points will also be looking to bag maximum points from their encounters and move into the top eight.

The bankers will face off with red-hot United States International University of Africa (USIU-A) Flames tomorrow.

Flames who are looking to reclaim the title they won in 2015 will today hunt for a fourth win against Safe Spaces.

Flames are 10th on the standings with six points from three outings and will also be looking to extend their unbeaten run this weekend.

Fourth-placed Sparks on the other hand will be out to stretch their winning streak to seven matches out of seven.

However, they face an uphill task against Hawks who will be out to prove that they are indeed the champions and Strathmore University Swords who suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend.

This weekend's ties also pose an acid test to Zetech Sparks who are rebuilding following the departure of key players.

Sparks have been impressive winning all their first five encounters and will be hoping to outclass their opponents and consolidate their spot in the top four.

Former champions Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) will be at Nyayo this weekend to secure points and return to the top of the table.

The dockers who are yet to drop a point after six matches will today tackle Strathmore Swords.

KPA are second on the standings with 12 points and victories against Swords and African Nazarene University (ANU) Panthers who they play tomorrow will see them return to the summit.

Winless ANU Panthers will be praying that the gods of basketball will finally favour them and grant them their first win of the season. They are at the bottom of the table with six points same as Storms who have also lost all their matches.

In the men's Premier League title chase, University of Nairobi (UoN) Terror will today battle it out with former champions Ulinzi Warriors.

While Warriors will be looking to build on last weekend's 49-46 win against USIU-A Tigers, Terror who are leading from the wrong side of the table are keen to bounce back from the 48-96 defeat to defending champions Nairobi City Thunder.

Tomorrow, Stanbic Shields will play ANU Wolfpacks in another men's Premier League encounter. Both sides go into the match on the back of victories, Shields won triumphed over fellow bankers National Bank of Kenya (NBK) Phoenix whereas Wolfpacks beat their hosts Eldonets Platinum 71-64 last weekend.
