Zetech University Sparks moved top of the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) women's Premier League standings after seeing off Kenyatta University Oryx 67-27 at Strathmore University grounds over the weekend in Nairobi.

Sparks built on their last two double victories over the University of Nairobi Dynamites and Eagle Wings to move top above defending champions Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) who were not in action.

Zetech sits top with 23 points, a point ahead of KPA who have a game in hand. They have won eleven and lost once.

Zetech had won the reverse fixture 83-25 and they wasted no time imposing themselves again, dominating from start to finish.
Christine Akinyi, Chantal Kiyobe and Morine Nyanganyi dropped a combined 34 points as the Maurice Obilo-led side eased to victory.

In another match, UON Dynamites crashed Eagle Wings 52-50. Faith Atieno led the university side with 16 points as Elizabeth Okumu and Gaceri Shalon added 12 and 11 points respectively.

The win took the Dynamites to 20 points from the 12 matches they have played so far. They have won eight and lost four and currently sit at position six on the log.

Eagle Wings now have 14 points from 12 matches played, having won two and lost ten.
In the men's league, ANU Wolfpack hit Thunder 74-64 as Strathmore Blades sliced Pirates 59-51.
