Eagle Wings picked their second win of the season after seeing off Lady Bucks 41-27 in a Kenya Basketball Federation Women's Premier League match played at Magadi Primary School in Manyatta, Kisumu on Saturday.

Mitchell Otinda scored a game-high 10-points as Diana Wafula added eight points as Eagle Wings dominated in a hostile environment from start to finish.

It was an embarrassing no-show for Lady Bucks - who won their first match against Kenyatta University Oryx last weekend.

The Lake City side missed shots they usually make, made bad passes they usually don't make and looked nothing like the team that dominated Oryx 56-41 last Saturday.

Cindy Phylis scored eight points as Sharon Atieno added seven points in the defeat ahead of their match against Storms today.

"We played poorly today. Our shots were not going in and we missed a lot of chances in a game we should have won. However, this was an eye opener that we need to do better in our next match which we have to win to get back on the right truck," said Lady Bucks coach Dave Michael.

His Eagle Wings counterpart Eunice Ouma promised to close out their road trip with another win against Eldonets in Eldoret today.

"Despite our journey troubles and the hot Kisumu temperatures we are glad to go home with three points. This is a big win for us and we can make it even better with another victory against Eldonets today," she said.

Lady Bucks will feature host Storms today at Magadi Primary School in Kisumu as Eagle Wings travel to play Eldonets in Eldoret.
