Shelly Ann ready to entertain fans in Nairobi once again

Three-time Olympic champion Jamaica's Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce has asked fans to book their tickets early as she has promised to entertain them once again at the Kip Keino Classic meet next month.
The World Athletics Continental Gold Tour meet is set for May 13, 2023 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Stadium.
The 10-time world champion ran 10.67 in her first 100m race of 2022 at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi last year and will be seeking similar start to her season when she races at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix, World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting, in Gaborone on April 29.
"I'm coming back to Nairobi, on May the 13 for Kipkeino Classic and I'll be racing over the 100m, last year was awesome, fantastic and I liked it, the stadium was just filled with so much excitement and the crowd and music was so much fun.
"Make sure that you guys get your tickets, because I want see you in Nairobi on May the 13 and we're gonna have some fun, we're gonna show up and of course gonna have some fast time and rock that stadium like we did last year so get your tickets see you in Nairobi thank you," Shelly-Anne said in a video released by the organisers.
The Jamaican sprint queen, who aims to qualify for her fifth and final Olympics when she will be 37, also wants to lower the women's 100m world record within her last two seasons of competition.
"I want to run 10.5 or 10.4," she said of her plans to better her personal best of 10.60 seconds, which makes her the third-fastest woman behind American world record holder Florence Griffith-Joyner who dashed to 10.49 in 1988," Shelly-Anne told the Olympics Channel last month.
World 100m champion Fred Kerley of USA, Olympic 100m champion Marcel Jacobs of Italy are among the big names who competed in last year's edition and the event organisers are expressing confidence that this edition will be bigger with more stars set to race at event.
Commonwealth and African champion Ferdinand Omanyala who is also set to compete at Gaborone meet alongside Shelly-Ann will be targeting for a second consecutive title after finishing second in 2021.
"We are assembling some of the best track and field athletes to come and compete the Kip Keino Classic. I can assure fans that this edition will be the biggest. In the coming days we will be releasing the names of the stars who have confirmed participation," Barnaba Korir, the race director said.
