World under 20 steeplechase silver medalist Leonard Bett made the Olympic 3000m squad with ease at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday.

Bett led commonwealth Games 3000m at silver medalist Abraham Kibiwott and Africa champion Benjamin Kigen in the tough battle for the prized Olympic tickets.

"We are a bit worried but our focus will be to go and do the best for the country," said Bett after the race.

"I wasn't sure whether I would win. I just wanted to make the Team. It is my hope that we can go and bring home -a 1-2-3, " said Kibiwott.

Defending champion Conseslus Kipruto dropped off in the first lap just after the water jump.
