Olympic 1500m champion Faith Chepngetich and Africa 1500m champion Winny Chebet oozed pure class as they made the cut to the Olympics squad to Tokyo, Japan.

Chepngetich (4:02.10) must be at her best to counter Dutchwoman Sifan Hassan in Tokyo.

The two, who have already made the Olympic qualification, dazzled Kasarani Stadium on Thursday.

Ednah Jebitok came third and still, has a hurdle to hit Olympic time. She must enter Diamond League races or other World Athletics 1500m races in a bid to qualify.

"My focus is to defend my Olympic title in Tokyo. It was a really good race here, which I really wanted to win. I know I will meet many good athletes in Tokyo but I have prepared really well," said Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon.
