Kwale County hosts the Coast Cross Country Championships this morning and all the six counties within the region will be represented.

Athletics Kenya Coast branch chairman Kimoni Kisalu confirmed today’s meet will be at Kwale Girls School.

Champions Taita Taveta and Kwale counties are set to renew their rivalry as they have been dominating both men’s and women’s races with the former enjoying a monopoly in girls’ races for over a decade. The counties selected their strong teams during last weekend’s championships.

The championships will be used by the branch to pick their regional team for the National Cross Country Championships next weekend.
