The Kenya-Tanzania battle for supremacy in boxing will take centre stage on Saturday at the KICC Ball Room in Nairobi and on social media when showboating pro-boxer Karim 'Mtu Kazi' Mandonga takes on local favourite, Daniel Wanyonyi.

Mandonga has been spurring with Kenyans on social media as to the different ways he will thrash Wanyonyi including with his bomb-laden fist 'from Ukraine'.

On Wednesday, the 'mouthy' Mandonga said he is not cowed by Wanyonyi's decorated tale of the tape which stands at 27 fights including 22 KOs, 14 losses, and two draws.

"I have not come here to relax, I have come here for war, whether Wanyonyi likes it or not I will beat him. I will only rest after confirming my victory. His Kenyan fans are in for a rude shock, Wanyonyi will know why I'm called Mtu Kazi on Saturday night," said Mandonga.

He said he will finish off his opponent with his 'Sugunyo' signature jab, a style he claims was perfected in war-torn Ukraine.

"I'm going to explode bombs in his head," said the boxer who is unbeaten in four fights including one draw and two knockouts.

The bout is, however, not the only fight on Saturday as Standard Sports can reveal that 11 packages are scheduled for the day.

The main bout, despite the hype surrounding 'Mandonga versus Wanyonyi', will be between Kenya's inspirational boxer Rayton "Boom Boom" Okwiri and Ally Ndaro, also from Tanzania.

The Saturday fight card, sanctioned by Kenya Professional Boxing Commission and staged by Solid Rock Promotions will feature two Tanzanians, a Congolese and five Mauritians.
