It was a sore night for Joe Hart - for more than one reason.

The England No.1 saw his Torino side throw away a one-goal lead in the San Siro, as they were dumped out of the Coppa Italia by AC Milan, falling 2-1 thanks to two quick-fire second half goals.

But the on-loan Manchester City keeper was fortunate not to suffer serious injury, after being taking a hefty blow to the face - courtesy of Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula's STUDS.

Hart bravely dived at the Italian forward's feet in the 49th minute as he sought to latch onto a through pass, only for Lapadula's studs to instead scrape across the face of Hart.

As the 29-year-old lay prone on the floor, Lapadula put his hands on his head, horrified after connecting with the stopper, however after treatment, Hart was able to continue, playing the full 90 minutes.

At that point Milan were trailing 1-0, but two goals in three minutes, courtesy of Juraj Kucka and Giacomo Bonaventura saw Vincenzo Montella's men claim victory.

However, that was only after a stunning late save from Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Rossoneri's phenomenal 17-year-old goalkeeper.
