Alexandre Pato says his soon-to-be-completed loan move to Chelsea is “a dream come true”.

The forward arrived in London on Wednesday afternoon to finalise his switch after the Blues agreed a deal with Brazilian club Corinthians.

Pato will sign a six-month deal with Chelsea, who will pay his wages – believed to be around £31,000 a week – for the duration of the loan spell.

”I’m here to make a dream come true,” he told ESPN Brasil upon arrival at Heathrow.

”Chelsea is my new home. I really want to play for them.”

Pato is keen to throw himself into life at Stamford Bridge, and says he will get up to speed quickly despite not having played since 28 November.

”I’m very happy... and very nervous.

”I want to meet my new team-mates so I can adapt as quickly as possible.

”Yes, it’s been a while without playing, but nothing that my new colleagues can’t help me with.”
