Cheating footballer Alan Smith is back on the love bench – weeks after dumping his new bride for a used car saleswoman.
The ex-England and Manchester United star’s affair with Sarah Cox left his X Factor dancer wife Kristina MacMillan heartbroken four months into their marriage.
But now his match with married luxury motor trader Sarah has also been called off early.
A source confirmed: “All that pain caused to other people was for nothing. The relationship ended almost immediately afterwards. It seems a terrible shame.
“Alan had known Kristina for eight years and their wedding was perfect. His fling with Sarah ended all of that. It’s hard to understand why he did it.”

Kristina – who has appeared in West End Shows including Mamma Mia and Grease – first suspected something was wrong during their honeymoon in Mexico, shortly after their wedding last May in Cheshire.
Once back home she found former midfielder Smith, 35 – who now plays for League Two Notts County – had bombarded a mystery number with 82 calls and 151 texts.
Kristina, 29, told Sarah’s husband Mark, which led to Sarah, 43, leaving him to be with Smith.
Mark has confirmed his wife’s fling with the star is already over, but said he didn’t know whether she would return home.
A source said at the time of the marriage split last year: “Kristina gave up her life for him and moved from London where her dance career was taking off.
“She trusted him and believed he wasn’t a stereotypical
footballer.”
