High above the Las Vegas Strip, this is the penthouse suite where football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly sexually assaulted a model.

The Mirror was granted exclusive access to the 57th-floor luxury apartment in which it is claimed he raped Kathryn Mayorga in 2009.

Former Manchester United player Ronaldo, 33, denies any wrongdoing.

Events in the suite – 57306 at the palatial Palms Place tower in the US city – are at the centre of a reopened police inquiry.

The now-closed nightclub where the pair met in the hours before the alleged attack was next door in the Palms Hotel.

Walking into the suite, guests are immediately struck by the opulence.

There is a large kitchen with a six-seat dining table.

The adjacent living room provides incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip through its 10ft floor-to-ceiling windows.

There are two luxury grey marble bathrooms and two huge bedrooms. But the centrepiece of the £775-per-night suite is the infinity hot tub.

Ms Mayorga has told how she sat on the edge of the tub but declined to get in after she and a female friend “Jordan” entered the apartment.

She added: “We thought the guys were cute... but I wanted to go... so I... said I did not want to ruin my dress.”

Ms Mayorga claims Ronaldo offered her shorts and a T-shirt so she could join the others in the tub. She said she agreed and was shown into a bathroom to change.

Ms Mayorga alleges Ronaldo exposed himself before asking her to perform a sex act on him. She said she refused.

She claims he then “pulled” her into a bedroom. In legal papers, she alleges he dragged her “on to a bed and attempted to engage in sexual intercourse”.

Sportswear firm Nike, which has sponsored Ronaldo since 2003, said it is “deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations”.

Ms Mayorga’s lawyer said yesterday he is considering releasing documents next week such as details of the medical examination she had after the alleged attack.

Ronaldo, who plays for Italian club Juventus, tweeted this week: “I firmly deny the accusations... Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything I am and believe in.

"Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.

“My clear conscious [sic] will... allow me to await with tranquillity the results of any and all investigations.”

His legal team have threatened to sue after claiming Ms Mayorga, 34, broke the terms of a £288,000 deal banning her from discussing the alleged incident.

Last week German magazine Der Spiegel ran an interview in which she talked about the night she was with Ronaldo.

The boss of Portugal’s national side said yesterday that after talking to Ronaldo it has been decided to leave him out of the squad for two months, including for a game against Scotland next week.
