President Kimbrow Foundation (PKF) will battle Team Kujibamba in the semi-finals of the third edition of Dada Football Tournament at Camp Toyoyo Grounds today.

PKF extended their unbeaten run with a resounding 8-1 win over hapless St Ann’s yesterday.

Harambee Starlets forward Mercy Achieng scored seven goals. Lydia Akoth added a goal for the winners while Agnes Sirengo gave St Ann’s their consolation goal.

In their second match, PKF beat Amani Queens 3-1 with Achieng netting a hat-trick to take her goal tally to 11, to stand as leading goal-scorer.

Irene Nambale scored a consolation for Amin Queens. PKF top the group while Amani Queens finished second.

Achieng, who had played for Team Kujibamba for the last two editions, said she was in top form.

“By the end of the tournament, the top scorer will take a prize home. I’m looking forward for the semis and eventually the finals. The tournament has been good but it’s sad that some teams pulled out of the competition,” she said.

Defending champions, Otto Benecker, will be up against Amani Queens in the second semi-final today.

Otto beat Kibera Girls Soccer Academy (KGSA) 3-0 in their last preliminary match yesterday.

Mwanahalima Adam scored a brace with Mural Auma adding a third goal to ensure the champions top their group with unbeaten record. [Rebecca Jebet]
