KCB is still bullish of better returns from real estate lending despite high non-performing loans in the sector.
Speaking Wednesday during the official opening of its first Property Centre at KENCOM House, its Group Chief Operating Officer Samuel Makome said that with proper credit analysis, the sector still has good returns.
“It depends on who you are extending the loan to. When you do a credit analysis you will find out who is not able to perform. Performance is not all about the economy but the people accessing particular types of credit,” said Mr Makome.
The Property Centre which will host the construction arm will also be a one stop shop for potential home owners who offer services such as tour features of special hot property listings. — Mumbi Kinyua
