Acorn enters into joint venture with Helios

Acorn Group and Helios Investment Partners (acting on behalf of funds it advises) have announced that they have agreed to enter into a joint venture to form a development platform focused initially on Kenya, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
Acorn, a property developer based in Nairobi, has since establishment in 2001, completed over 40 projects, with a combined asset value greater than $550 million.
Edward Kirathe, CEO, Acorn said: "In Helios, we have found a partner with a shared ethos and commitment to the region. We look forward to leveraging Helios' local and international relationships and expertise to further strengthen our platform." Alykhan Nathoo, Partner, Helios added, "This investment is an opportunity for Helios to back an exceptional management team.
