Defending champions Kabras Sugar will face off with arch rivals KCB in the 2023-2024 Kenya Cup final in Kakamega next month.

Kabras Sugar reached their ninth consecutive final after knocking out Nondescripts 37-9 while KCB saw off stubborn Menengai Oilers 21-12 at KCB Sports Club.

In Kakamega, South African fly half Ntabeni Dukisa got the game underway with a penalty as the hosts led 3-0 inside the opening minutes before Griffins Chao crossed over the whitewash for the millers opening try that Dukisa converted for a 10-0 lead.

Nondies split the posts with two quick penalties to cut the lead to 10-6 before Dukisa scored the sugar men’s second try but he would not convert the extras but Kabras still led 15-6 at the break.

In the final half, Barry Robinson dotted an unconverted try for a 20-6 lead before another unconverted try by captain George Nyambua pushed the scores to 25-6.

Nondies converted their third penalty to trail 25-9 before Chao completed his brace that stretched the scorers to 30-9 with the conversion going wide.

Bryceon Adaka came off the bench and back into the team after five weeks out to seal the win with a late try that upcoming full back Eric Cantona converted for a 37-9 win.
