AFC Leopards registered their third win of the season after beating Nairobi City Stars 1-0 in Wednesday’s FKF Premier League match at Nyayo Stadium.

Maxwell Otieno’s goal four minutes into the second half was enough to hand Ingwe the maximum points and lift them up to 13th in the Premier League; five points clear of the relegation zone.

Ingwe headed into the match in search of a first win December 9th last year (defeated Posta Rangers 1-0) and the victory saw them end their three match winless streak.

At Ruaraka Grounds, Tanzanian strikerIbrahim Joshua scored a late second half goal to inspire defending champions Tusker to a 2-1 win over Bidco United.

Shami Kibwana had given the brewers the lead just before the break.

In the final half, Nelson Chieta restored parity when he scored the equaliser in the 74th minute.

However, with 10 minutes left on the clock, Joshua emerged to seal all the three points after scoring his fourth goal in two matches.

The Tanzanian was on fire when he scored a hat-trick in their 4-1 win over Mathare United in their last match of 2021.

On the other hand, Gor Mahia poor form continued after they threw away a first half lead to draw 1-1 with Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.

George Odhiambo scored from the spot in the 20th minute but Nzoia Sugar fought back to earn an important point through James Kibande’s effort on the hour mark.

Elsewhere, Posta Rangers thrashed Wazito 4-1 at Kasarani.
