Man United boss Solskjaer compares Greenwood to Ronaldo

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer compared Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood to Cristiano Ronaldo as Manchester United got back to winning ways.
Greenwood scored a 25-yard stunner and Rashford a Ronaldo-esque header, with a further double from Anthony Martial moving United to within four points of fourth spot.
Solskjaer heaped praise on his attackers for blitzing Newcastle after going behind – and said Rashford and Greenwood deserved the lofty comparison to United legend Ronaldo.
“Mason can do every single technique,” said Solskjaer. “He can strike it and curl it.
“Cristiano scores just as many with his left foot. Mason can curl with both feet, just an exceptional finisher.
“He's learning and growing as a human being. He'll grow more and more and we're not going to see the best of Mason for a couple for years.
“Marcus, who's 22 now, sprung on the scene the same age and you see more maturity in his game and Mason needs to learn how to head it.”
On Rashford's Ronaldo-like header, Solskjaer said: “He's been working on it. He's a physical specimen, he looks after himself, he's been working hard in the gym.
“I remember a boy I used to play with who headed it well when he was close to goal and we compare him to him - Cristiano used to get at that age as well.”
The only blot on a memorable evening for United was a knee injury to midfielder Scott McTominay, who left Old Trafford on crutches.
McTominay suffered the injury early on in a clash with Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff - who's brother Matty scored for the Toon - and was replaced at half-time by Paul Pogba.
“He's done his ligament in the knee,” said Solskjaer. “I don't know how bad it is. Let's see, but the boy has got the biggest heart.
“I'm not sure if he's going to be ready for Saturday, probably not, but we've seen him heal quickly before.”
United's players wore "No to racism" and "We are one" rubber wristbands during the warm-up, at the behest of Pogba, in the wake of the racist abuse directed at Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger in his side's 2-0 win at Tottenham.
