Former Kenya Cup side Strathmore Leos and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST RFC) will be seeking to continue their good run in the 2019-20 KRU Championship season as they take on SC Pirates and University of Eldoret respectively.

Leos top the standings with 19 points, two more than second-placed MMUST, and captain Gabriel Adero said they long to beat Pirates and bounce back to Kenya Cup.

“Our performances are getting better steadily. We started the campaign on a high note and we want to win against Pirates. But we must be cautious since every team is strong in the championship,” he said.

In Kakamega, MMUST will be aiming for their fifth consecutive win in their second season in the championship when they welcome University of Eldoret Trojans at MMUST Grounds.

“The team is focused and ready to win their matches. After our win in Kisii, we are confident of a win,” MMUST captain Samuel Mbeche said.

United States International University (USIU RFC) will be seeking to register their second win when they host eighth-placed Egerton Wasps.

The USIU Martials bagged their first win against the University of Eldoret last weekend and they will be aiming to bank on the victory in Roysambu.

Kisii travel to North Rift to face newbies Eldoret with the hope of securing their second win of the season and move out of the relegation zone.

They lie bottom in the league standings as Eldoret RFC get back to action at home after two loses away. Mean Machine, who recovered from their opening two losses of the season, take on Mombasa RFC targeting top two as Northern Suburbs battle Catholic Monks.
