Trans Nzoia amassed unassailable 75 points to emerge the overall champions as the curtains came down on Rift Valley Primary Schools Games at Makutano Primary Schools in West Pokot yesterday.
They were followed by Uasin Gishu 72 points, West Pokot 71 and Nandi 68 points in the one week competition that led to selection of a strong squad for the National Primary Schools Games in Meru next month.
Trans Nzoia finished within the medal bracket in most of the disciplines.
Rift Valley Primary Schools Sports Association Secretary General Etyang’ Mamai said they had selected a strong squad for the National School Games in Meru next month.
“We are equally determined to see some of players selected into the National Team for the East African Schools games programmed for Mwanza in Tanzania in August,” Mamai told Standard Sports.
