Eden Hazard will formally be announced as a Real Madrid the day after Chelsea's Europa League final with Chelsea.

Chelsea winger Hazard is set to join Real on May 30th in a deal worth around £86million after all parties agreed to the transfer, according to L'Equipe.

The 28-year-old will play in the Baku show-stopper, but winning the European competition would be his last action at the west London club.

Belgium international Hazard has made 351 appearances for the Blues in a seven season spell at the club having arrived from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Hazard has won the Premier League twice, in 2015 and 2017, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Europa League, while also reaching the World Cup semi-final last summer.

This season alone he has fired Chelsea to a top four place with 19 goals in 19 outings.

Hazard hinted at the move following the Blues' final day goalless draw with Leicester.

Hazard said: “I have made my decision. I’m still waiting like you are waiting and like the fans are waiting.”

“I wanted that [it to be cleared up earlier] but that’s not happened. I have told the club a couple of weeks ago.

"I have made my decision, that’s it. I’m still waiting.

“We have a final to play and then I will see. I have made my decision but it is not just about me.”

Manager Maurizio Sarri admitted last week there would be nothing he could do to convince his star player to remain at Chelsea.

Sarri said: “If Hazard is thinking that the history here is finished, then in his mind it is finished. I can try to speak to him but it is not easy.

“It’s not easy because of course I want Hazard, but I want Hazard with a very high level of motivation.”
