UFC star Rodrigo de Lima has been killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident.
The 28-year-old MMA fighter was allegedly hit from behind after a dispute with another driver in Belem, Brazil, according to reports.
UFC welterweight Michel Prazeres, who is a long-term friend of De Lima, confirmed the news on Sunday.
Prazeres claims the UFC star was inside a car with a few friends when an argument broke out with another driver. He adds that the driver then stopped his car, as the altercation escalated, before the man vacated the area.
According to Prazeres, the driver later returned and allegedly hit De Lima from behind with his car. Police are currently searching for the driver.
